Lyn is a Director and Co-founder of MagStar Ltd. After many years working as a senior manager and consultant in both the commercial and not-for-profit sectors, she saw the opportunity for a capable and ethical communications agency to succeed.
Born and raised in London, she attended Bromley High School before graduating from Bedford College, London University with an honours degree in English Literature.
She worked in London for creative and music companies before moving to Cambridge to work as a senior manager for Cambridgeshire County Council, then Operations Manager for an international charity working with disaffected young people and as a consultant for the SSI.
She is an active Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and for many years a pioneering member of the board of trustees for a charity providing varied contemporary arts and leisure activities. She also established a contemporary art gallery in Cambridge and continues to support up and coming artists.
Her literary and design skills have been applied in the early years in the production of advertising and promotional copy, and then in the creation of training and guidance manuals and courses. An early adopter and advocate of “new technology” her marketing expertise expanded to include new media consultancy, the design of web strategies and effective on-line communication and marketing.
As a consultant Lyn has worked with large and small businesses, charities, key education providers and government bodies.
Lyn oversees all MagStar projects and directly project manages many, particularly those that include branding, fundraising and not-for-profit initiatives.
